Can anyone help me with some Astronomy questions?

I have most of this 40+ question packet done, but I'm missing a few and I'm having trouble finding them in my textbook, it's written very unhelpfully and dense. Could any astronomy buffs help me out here, and hopefully explain the answers so I will better understand the concepts?

-A given star will reach its highest point for an observer when it passes through: the ecliptic/the zodiac/the celestial meridian/the celestial equator

During a given night, some stars will be observed to pass through: the vernal equinox/the zodiac/the zenith/the celestial equator

As a result of the tilt of the spin axis of earth to the plane of the earth's orbit, sunrise in the winter months in the midaltitude northern hemisphere occurs in which direction in the observer's sky? Southwest/Northeast/Southeast/The sun always rises due west.

On the day of the vernal equinox: the sun rises at its most northerly point on the horizon/the length of daylight is longest/both day and night are exactly 12 hours/the sun passes through an observer's zenith on only this day.

If you point towards the Zenith today and point there again 45 days later, you will have pointed twice in the same direction relative to the fixed stars/the sun/the moon/the horizon

Any help is greatly appreciated.
