can anyone help me with my 2002 ford explorer?

my truck when im idling act likes it wants to cut off but as soon as i push the gas down and rev it alittle its juss fine but as soon as a stop again and it idles it acts like its going to cut off again can anyone help me??
 
sounds like you're not getting enough fuel check your fuel filter or fuel pump
 
sounds like an oxygen sensor at idle. I believe this near the catalyticd converter and is easily changed out and not too expensive. They judge the amount of oxygen in the exhaust and adjust the air flow accordingly. This goes haywire or out and the fuel mixture is messed up.
