...Accord? Ok, the year is 98, the code is p1456 (EVAP system leak gas tank). I have already tested the canister vent shut valve and it is functioning properly. It is holding a vacuum perfectly.
When this code poped up last year I changed the gas cap, but it didn't fix the problem. Sometimes I think I smell gasoline vapor when I step out after driving, but no one else has confirmed this when I ask them. This makes me think it might be the connecting gasket between the fill tube and nozzle, but I'm not equipped to test it.
Can someone tell me what to check next? Also if you have a link to the entire diagnostic procedure that could be helpful too.
