Im a 24 yr old african male, i've lived in the United States for 5yrs now. I plan to naturalize and become a citizen of this country. My father brought me to the states but we never got along ever since i was a kid so he left me to struggle on my own. I have no family out here, my mother is still in africa and im her only child, my father has other kids. Within my first year in this country i attended a private school and took a class in medical billing and coding but after i graduated i never got a job. Now im stuck with paying back the financial aide i was awarded and i didn't even get a job. I saved a little money and took a nurse aide class, now i work as a nurse aide in a nursing home. I want to further my education but its pretty expensive, i cant afford it. I apply for financial aide but they always ask for a co-signer, which i dont have. My credit is not in good shape either. I want to go to school so bad. Im wondering if there are any organizations that could help sponsor my education, i want to be a licensed practical nurse. Im really struggling to make it. I really need some sponsorship.
