...Ohio schools in the 1990s? A friend and I were reminiscing about this book the other day, and I would love to get my hands on a copy - I just can't remember enough details about it to search for one!
The text was used in elementary schools in the state of Ohio during the 1990s (and possibly earlier), and was a large, brown book with the word "Ohio" on the cover. I'm not sure if that was the full title, and I can't remember the author, but I believe it was a required text for the Ohio state proficiency tests (4th grade).
Among other things, the book discussed flatboats, the mound builders, and had a recipe for Buckeye candy.
Does anyone have any information about this book? Bonus if you know where i can get a copy. I remember the Buckeye candy recipe being particularly amazing.
