You gotta be kidding me. Where were you in eighth grade? Or is this your eighth grade homework?

1. The Southern States weren't prevented from seceding. Civil War ring a bell?
2. This is the coolest story of Pre-Civil War American History. Look it up. John Brown was awesome. (As in the original "awe-inspiring" meaning of awesome, not the colloquial meaning it has now.)
3. This is basic information that your history book will have.
4. Same as above.
5. Same as above.

I know this probably won't be a "best answer." But I'm glad you got to read it anyway.
