I have a 1996 Ford Escort, and my power steering is a little off. Everytime I turn the wheel, my car whines back at me basically. It's extremely loud from outside my car. Yesterday my power steering fluid ran out, so I bought some more and filled it up and it all went into a huge puddle on my driveway in a day, and the next day when I was driving around, my power steering failed (yet again).
The noise didnt really bother me, but the fact that I have to use every single muscle in BOTH my arms, really bothers me.
Can anyone tell me whats wrong, and how much it will cost to fix this? I'm an 18 year old girl so I don't want to get screwed over at a mechanic.
