Im just 16 going to be a senior and i have an art portfollio and all. Im asian and im pretty good at art in all mediums. I like art when i get to do what i want, but when i want i have to make a portfollio there are things i "had" to do which i hated with a passion. And art just seems like a bad future choice cause i have to work with my hands all day hunched over a desk and is physically demanding of course not like construction or things like that but they didnt have a choice. I guess i dont understand enjoy your work concept. I just lost the feel for art, and idk if i should go with it? Just use it as a hobby? Or ditch the whole thing.
I used to have a friend that enforced everything about art to keep me going, but hes gone now and i lost the reason of why i should do it. Im good at art i could rape any kid my age in any medium they choose, but i dont feel like continueing for some reason. Like a regret full kinda choice.
SO all you artists tell me. Tell me everything, you guys are pretty philisophical in your own way, you all think religion is bs which i agree with very much. There are things art can do for people in there lifetime and things but i just dont know them. My friend would always talk about how art is the best thing a human can do, the creation of it, the imagination, he told me we dont get mid life crisis he told me all these things, he wasnt that good at art but he was always supportive and tried to keep me going. I mean of course he does drugs cause he says he does it to change his empty formalistic art style. He was a tight guy wasnt those gay looking artists and was a fighter, he failed in school but he still knew more about life than anybody that make 5 million a year could.
