...tell me about this? Does anyone know what promissory estoppel is, in layman's terms? I have an idea, but I am unsure if I am correct. Doesn't promissory estoppel occur when an agreement lacks a necessary element of a contract, and then the courts can make the agreement enforceable under promissory estoppel, or is my definition incorrect? Just want to make sure I have a good understanding.
