I was wanting to get a better Smartphone then the one i have now (Samsung Transform Ultra) for Boost Mobile..and was wanting to do what i did when i was at T-Mobile aka T-NoSignal and that was buying a unlocked GSM phone and having it locked to T-Mobile..Upon Goggling this same question im asking, i yielded results for 2-3 years ago stating that Boost runs off the iDEN network so only iDen phones will work ( mainly walkie talkie phones) well we all know thats how Boost got started with their Walkie Talkie style phones but times have changed and i have strong beliefs Boost no longer runs off the iDEN network. My first 2 phones with boost were the Sanyo Incognito and the Motorola Theroy both of which as CDMA/CDMA-X respectively. And my current Smartphone thru boost the Transform Ultra is also a CDMA phone..so can i not but a CDMA Smartphone and have it locked to Boost?
even the Boost mobile site has all 3 phones as CDMA and on the back of my Incognito it says "Qualcomm 3G CDMA"..
