hi guys. i'm a senior in high school who is about to go to college. i really want to become a lawyer. however, i realize it is very risky, and if i don't graduate from law school, i'll be in a not so steady shape in making income over 70k with ease. I realize with degrees in history, political science, psychology, etc. this is the case.

so i was wondering if it were possible to major in law, if i became an economist first and then went to law school. in that case, if i fail for any reason in law school. i have something to fall back on that is a steady job that has a very high demand for this bit of time. and what type of lawyer is best with this type of degree? BBS

please help me!!! i've applied to UCLA, UCI, UCSB, USC, and Occidental. I hope that gives more insight on what type of student i am.

thanks a bunch!

An economist can become a lawyer if he's willing to lower his standards and wipe out his knowledge of economics.
