can a throttle sensor on a 03 chevy cavalier make your trans make it feel

like it is bumping changing gears? i have a 03 chevy cavalier when i drive a long distance my air will quit blowing cold air, then my transmission will make a hard like bump when changing gears, but it does not hesitate to go into the next gear. but after i shut the car off and let it sit for a while every thing goes back to working fine. my check engine light came on so i took up to a auto parts store and they put it on there machine and it read that it was my throttle sensor could this make the problems that my car is having caused from the throttle sensor going bad?
 
if their computer said that the throttle sensor was going bad, then yes it can make funny and hard to determine symptoms appear - the worst that could happen is it could also be something else that isnt hooked up to the computer that is going bad and you wont know that until the sensor is replaced
