I ordered a "non returnable" wedding dress through a bridal store chain and ended up refuting the charge through my credit card when I decided to get a dress from a different store. I had concerns that the dress wouldn't be in on time because they put in the wrong wedding date of September when I was getting married in August. They said they couldn't change the date but said it would be ok. I wasn't so sure and they refused to cancel the sale. I went through the refuting process with my credit card and they credited me back the money, but the store continues to call me asking me to pick up my dress. Its unclear whether they know its no longer paid for--but I really don't want to inquire--I don't take their calls. Is it possible for them to come after me for the money with legal action? I feel like they shouldn't because my credit card got rid of the charge after reading my stated case. I had my credit card number changed, but obviously the store has my name and address. What do you think?
