I personally have Sprint (and happy) and my finance has Verizon (and he's fairly happy). Either way, we both have contracts we want to finish out. I have an extra Blackberry Curve that I bought through a Sprint store (so "Sprint" is printed on the bottom front of my cell phone). I did learn that Sprint doesn't use 'sim' cards in their phones. (Whether this makes a difference or not re: my question, I don't know). My fiance needs a new phone and isn't able to upgrade to another phone without paying full price out-of-pocket. He'd like my extra Blackberry cell. But will Verizon activate this Blackberry for him? When I called Sprint, they told me NO that Sprint phones can only be used on Sprint accounts. But I"m always leary of one person's answer, especially when money is involved. If these phones can't be used on another provider's line, it's all about greed, no doubt. Thanks for your help.
