I was given a nokia C3 as a christmas present in 2010. The phone was great...for a little while. A few weeks after i began using it, people i called said they could hear nothing but static; i could hear them fine. I took the phone into at&t. Although they do not sell this phone in their stores (it is a "go phone") they were more than happy to look at the phone. They said the issue was with the sim card. They replaced it and all went well for a few more weeks. The same issue then occured again I took the phone back to at&t and they told me the phone was frying the sim card and that i needed to contact nokia. They replaced the sim card again so that i could place the call. Nokia said they first had to troubleshoot the phone so we did, and they said that if the problem occured again to contact them again and they would replace the phone. On 2-21-11 the problem reoccured and i called nokia expecting a replacement. The first woman i spoke with told me I would have to send the phone to a third party to be looked at, before they could replace it, and that it would take 7-10 business days. I told her that this phone is the only phone in my home, and I simply would not be able to ship it out unless they were willing to ship me a temp. phone. She laughed at me and said this was the policy and that i also would not be given a temp phone. I was astonished at her unprofessionalism and asked to speak to her ssupervisor She told me they would just tell me the same thing, but i still insisted i speak with the supervisior. The supervisor then did tell me the same thing, but also added that i was not only wasting my time, but also his precious time that could have been spent with more valuable customers. His nerve left me in tears. I drove to the at&t store near my home, and explained all this to them. They were astonished as well, and gave me a free phone to use while mine was shipped off. So i return home, and call back planning to ship the phone off. I was then informed i would have to pay all shipping and hhandlingcosts. I thought this was absurd. I did not break the phone, ot damage it in anyway. I again asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that it was immpossible because they were not open so there were no supervisors to speak with. How was I on the phone with them if they weren't open? I have no clue. I kindly I asked the gentleman, "Dent" to leave his supervisor my name and phone number so we could ressolve this issue. He agreed and said that i would rereceive call around 10 P.M. The following day I finally called back at 12 P.M. because i had never rereceived call. I spoke with somebody who simply would not let me speak with a supervisor, and now i am waiting on yet again another phone call.
I have basically been jerked around and taken for a fool by this company, as i have also seen on many online sites i am not the only one. Nokia needs to know they cannot just take peoples' money and leave them hanging. They have the poorest customer service i have ever come across.
Also, what the nokia people tell me are always diffrent then the notes they write in the file. For example the lady who told me that if the problem occured again to call and they would replace it, did not say this in her records of the phone call.
But it is my understanding that all phone calls are monitored so shouldnt they have the call on record?
