can a person work in the photo darkroom if pregnant?

is it harmful during the first trimester? researched/experienced answers only please.
 
You will really have to ask an OB-GYN who is a photographer to really get some human to human data.

You can do the research yourself by reading all the MSDS sheets on the chemistry you will be using.

My ex is a photographer and continued working in her darkroom during her pregnancy and Matt ended up becoming a MENSA member. Was he overdeveloped? That is what he claims
