Can a modem/router combo handle so much wireless/wired connections?

I am wanting to plug in a WIRELESS desktop card into my dads computer so i can bring out router/modem combo downstairs into my room so i can have stronger wifi connections or a wired connections for my gaming.

MY question is though, can a router/modem handle so many wireless ports and still give good speed? The worst it would be going through at one moment would be,

-My dad browsing the internet by a wireless connection
-My mom browsing the internet by a wireless connection
-Me playing the wii/ through a wireless connection OR playing Xbox with a wired connection.
-My Tower on the internet with a wired connection OR my laptop browsing the internet with wired or wireless connection.

So that can lead up to four connections of internet going around the house at once. Can a modem/router combo handle that well? Or will my DSL be freaking out every minute and disconnecting everyone?

Our modem/router is a Westell Versalink model. forgot to write down the model number. And our internet provider is Verizon DSL.
