My mother is a defendant in a civil legal case in Colorado. She had a judgment put against her for non payment of fees. She has questions (regarding the moneys owed, as far as amount left etc.) for the attorney that she pays the debt to and he said he can meet with her but would have to charge her his fee of $300/hour... is this legal?
Can a lawyer for a plaintiff charge a defendant $ to meet with them regarding the case?
