Can a judgment be entered against you in court if you were never served with papers to appear? Can you ask for proof of the summons and who signed for it? And if a garnishment order was entered even though you were never served, how do you get it stopped or set aside?
Do I not have the right to have my day in court?
The address on the court papers is incorrect, but I have copies of statements, letters showing they had my correct one...Could they have purposely used wrong address in order to push the judgment through without my appearing in court? Would that be illegal?
Also, the county that the judgment was entered is not even the county where I live. They have my current info including address, phone number and have had it since I moved... I have the papers to prove it..
What transpired to cause the suit happened while living at my current address..So how can they just pick an old address where I have not lived for almost 3 years and file suit without my knowledge?
