Is this legal? I can see how a judge would get away with it. Throw you back in jail to finish up your sentence if you don't go back to school and say it is for a different reason. Unless of course it's legal for him to do this openly?
I have a friend who is a DISABLED VETERAN due to a mental disorder and he is in no condition to go to school, yet for a recent misdemeanor and probation, the judge (who is not a psychologist) is ordering him to go back to school. My friend just got rated as a 100% disabled veteran and not only is he not ready, but this will put an end to his benefits.
I know my friend's mental state. Asking him to go back to school is like taking a five year old and telling him he needs to get his doctorate by age 10. He is in no condition and he will fail.
