Can a Gatso speed camera catch you out when you're travelling towards it

even if it flashes? The other day I got flashed by a Gatso travelling TOWARDS the camera, it was about midnight so roads were clear. Can I get done for this or is this a regular occurance? I know from now on I shall never speed again! Heart was in my mouth.

Many thanks to replies that help!

The IL cameras are high speed, and radar timed with the traffic light trips it. It only takes the picture of the offending car, the driver, and front license plate.

On Highway Construction zones the picture is clear even at 75 m.p.h..

In all the cases I have seen vs. traffic cameras, the driver almost always looses. I did see at violation for no right turn on red, the lanes where all full across. But there was an ambulance, and the driver moved so the ambulance could get by. No other defense worked.

The police are so sneaky they are even disguising themselves in horse boxes to catch the poor drivers out if you were flashed expect a fine and 3 points they show no mercy as it is the police"s way of getting revenue for their parties and nights out just make the cheque out to the Chief of police loll

I got flashed years ago in Scotland, Refwenshire or whatever its called not far from Glasgow, 97 on a dual carriageway at about 11 pm i also done 138 on the dual carriageway into livingstone and got flashed. On both occasions no ticket, dummy camera or gatso. But if its a road past a school and theres gatso's they are real. Were you near a school when you sped? if there was expect a real speeding ticket through the door.
