Can a female dog hike it's leg to pee?

Suppose a female dog was a little weird and wanted to emulate male dogs, would it?
For extra credit, anyone with picture or video. Thanks
Wow - big outpouring of answers. Lots more pet lovers than windows geeks.

Thanks!

I've seen a logt of females hike their legs when they urinate. I'm not sure if it is from copying the males they are around or if maybe it is a hormone issue.

Actually yes, a Female dog can hike its leg to pee if it is around a male dog all the time
I have a two year old German Shepard and she Hikes her leg all the time and it is because she has been raised around my three year old pitt since she was a month old she has done it since we got her and its just stuck with her and she still does it

Yes, a female dog can lift/hike up one of her legs to urinate.

The female dog that does this would not be weird nor would it be emulating a male dog.
She is also marking her territory over the males urine as part of natures cycle of producing life.

The hormones that are in her urine attacks male dogs to reproduce.
This insures survival of life just like all things in nature.

Every living thing on earth has it's own special way to reproduce it self much like a plant each plant has a different way of spreading it seeds to reproduce for the next season of life.

No, but when my girl duchshand dog was paired up by the duchshund of my aunt, they were hilarious because while the boy duchshund was trying to mate with my dog, he was humping but can't do it. So my dog followed him and humped on him. LOL! They were so funny! Too bad we don't have a picture, sorry. But at least I shared my dogs experience. Hahahaha lol

I have several "alpha" females who will mark over the boys' marks...since they necessarily have to squat, they sort of cock one haunch to get the job done. :) Kind of funny looking, but where there's a will....

Sorry, don't have any video to contribute.

Yes but not for that reason, but unfortunately I don't know the reason. My dog is female and strangely does it all the time! But its a little awkward...
