I'm 18 and i self injure. Before all the judgmental comments start, I know it's not a good thing to do and i'm trying to stop. I have been doing a lot better with it but i still do at times. If i have a doctors appointment and they see the cuts can a doctor force me to get help? Like could they force me to get a therapist or into a hospital or anything? My cuts aren't deep at all so i don't think i'm really in any danger. They can't force me to do anything can they? Because i don't have the money to see a therapist and if i use insurance my parents will find out and that would be a nightmare. So, if anyone knows as a fact whether a doctor can legally do anything it would be appreciated!! Serious answers only please! Thanks so much!
