I have a 24 gallon reef tank, with a false percula, royla gramma, and, RIP, a six line wrasse and a hector's gobby. The gobby was quite small, and my coral banded shrimp is pretty big, the gobby dissapeared about 2 months ago; I assumed that the shrimp got him. Well, yesterday I noticed that the wrasse is gone. No signs of him anywhere. He was larger than the goby, probably about 2" long or so. Could the shrimp have caught and killed it? I can't think of any other explanation, my water quality is excellent and there were no signs of any of the fish being sick. The only other large thing in the tank is a regular black brittle star, but I don't think they are really capable of catching fish like ther serpent stars are.
