consents to search? Say you were riding in your friends car down the highway at about 10mph over the speed limit. You get pulled over by the police, and your idiot friend consents to a search when asked by the cop. In the car however, you have a backpack. While the police is searching the car, do they have the right to search the backpack considering it isn't the drivers things? Note, there is no probable cause. The friend just consents because he is an idiot.
