can a cop get into my vehicle by sticking arm in window and unlocking it when im not even around?

i received a call from police dispatch saying an officer secured my vehicle because the window was open. does he even have the right to enter my vehicle without permission. i would think that would be a type of tresspassing. the vehicle was also even on private property. would this fail be a violation of your 4th amendment rights
