Can a book have more than one publishing place?

I need to cite something for my synthesis paper and the front page of my source has the book's title, editors' names, publisher's name, and two locations on the bottom. One of them is in Boston and the other is New York. When I tried looking up the publisher's location I kept on getting Boston and I heard nothing about New York. My professor is really picky about citations so I have to make sure I do this perfectly right. Should I just list Boston as the publication place or should I put both Boston and New York?
Thanks in advance :)
