Can a Army 19Delta/Cav Scout tryout for Army Special Forces?

if your a 19D Cavalry Scout, 20 years old and an E5 can you try out for Special Forces?
I'm not Army at all, I'm in the Navy crossing colors into the Army as a 19D.
 
Anyone can try out for SF. As long as you meet their basic entry requirements on the physical and aptitude. But the likelihood of being an E-5 at 20 years old is pretty slim. Especially in the Scout world.
 
I am almost positive. My husband is in a scout unit and him and several of his friends tried out. As long as your unit says its okay, and the recruiters for special forces think you are eligible to try out then I don't not see why not. But wow 20 yrs old and an E-5, that's awesome.
