can a 85 honda shadow vt1100, use the foot controls from a 95 honda shadow 1100?

I have a 85 honda shadow vt1100, its hard to find parts for it. I know the body style changed in 87 but I don't think that everything was completely changed. I am hoping that the foot controls are the same, so that I can change it from mid controls to forward controls. also I was wondering if the suspension was compatible too
