I'm looking into buying an 85 Jaguar XJ-S, with its original 5.3L V12 and 3 speed automatic. From my understanding, the 3 speed in there is a TH400 (GM transmission). Is it possible to put in a 700r4 GM automatic w/overdrive. I'm new to these cars, but having the overdrive would make this car much easier to drive on the highway (I would think). Thanks for any info you can provide, i have scoured the net but can't find anything other than Chevy V8 converted XJ-S'.
