can a 25 year old independent adult get financial aid with aweful credit?

I have never used financial aid before, I have 60 credits left to complete my degree. I have no credit, no cosigner, I am not put as a dependent on anyones taxes, i am completely independent and completely broke, i have a general discharge under honerable conditions from the military, am I elligable for stafford and perkins loans?
 
Federal financial aid is not dependent on your credit rating. Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and complete the application. In a few days contact your financial aid adviser at your school. You must apply to a school before you can see exactly what aid you qualify for. Another helpful site is below.
