I live in Illinois, about a half-hour south of Chicago. I want know of somewhere I can walk into the woods, pick a spot to camp and just camp for a couple of days. I assume it wouldn't be legal to go into a forest preserve, so does anyone know of any places or a website to further direct me?
Camping somewhere other than a campground?
