I'm looking for a nice beach camping location for the September or Summer holidays. I would be going with a large group of friends (15-20). We don't have enough cars to drive us all there and no one is confident at 4x4 driving, so we need to be able to reach there by public transport.
For example, one option we were looking at was Kinkuna. We would take the Tilt Train from Brisbane to Bundaberg and get a coach into the camp ground. The only problem is there are no facilities, and it's quite isolated for 17/18 year olds to be camping by themselves.
We don't want a Big4 site or anything crowded or fancy. We want real beach camping, but fresh water supplies is a must. Toilets and showers not so important.
Do you have any suggestions?
