You will need A LOT!
Make sure you bring lots of water proof items, UK weather is unpredicatble and very cold.
If you bring enough, you should be ok.

Very bad idea. Even with layers and layers of blanket, you can still die of hypothermia.
Here's an alternative: Go south and visit the Pacific Islands where the sun is always out 12hrs a day. You can enjoy the cool breeze of the wind coming from the sea. You can wear as little clothing as modesty permits. There are no paparazzis that will take your pics in your unguarded moments. Check out one particular country - - the hospitable Philippines where there are beautiful beaches all over the country and the big shopping malls where you can buy all the imported branded designer items or the beautiful local products.
