ok so my husband just arrived in Korea he is at Camp Stanley for in processing until he can go to his duty station...... anyways he has called me everyday but since the Thursday ( Friday in Korea) he has not called me any...and I was wanting to know two things while you are in processing how busy are you and when does your day ends.... and two if you are in processing do you get to go off base he is a E3 any thing would help thanks!

I must remind you that Korea is a country and that he may in processed at Camp Stanley but could be sent down to Soul or further north to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). These locations are quite far apart. If you expect him to call you every day it may be too much and you will be disappointed when he can't. Your typical day ends at 1700(5pm) unless you have charge of quarters (CQ) which is 24hrs of straight duty. Good luck!

when you first get to Korea the inprocessing phase is only about 2-3 days until you get your next orders to your place of duty no your really not allowed to go off post when there in your inprocessing phase he may just be preparing or at even can't find a calling card cause they might be sold out happens often im sure he will call you when he gets to his permanent place of duty be patient that is one key thing that you will have to learn about the military patience is key if it is longer than 2 weeks than you can start to worry than when you hear from him let him know if he doesn't that he will have to contact you more often to keep you posted its hard enough that you 2 have to be apart for a year if he gets stationed further south he may be able to get you in his orders to have you there with him good luck and stay strong having military for a spouse is one of the hardest things to do just with how much time you actually get to spend together with deployments and field problems
