Camaro mechanic needed 1985 check engine light?

I have a 1985 v6 2.8 multi port fuel injection camaro with an automatic tranny. I have replaced the distributor, plugs, wires, mass airflow sensor, and a rotted vacuum line. I have put fuel injector cleaner through the tank and an engine cleaner in the oil. It also has a newer gas tank and fuel pump, and fuel filters I think. I had it on a computer before I did the mass airflow and it said that was all that was wrong with it. I fixed it and the check engine light went from being on all the time, to now it is only on after I drive for a few minutes and then if I slow to an idle it turns off again. The car seems to run ok and the only thing that sounds or acts wierd is if I am at a stop light, sometimes the engine will change revs for a second, kind of pulsing every 10 seconds or so...Im not exactly sure thats the time interval its just a guess.

What could the problem be? A check engine light doesnt help selling a car....
thanks for the response. The mass airflow was from napa so whatever they gave me is what I used. Is it possible to run the tester on the car while I am driving? It hooks under the dash I just didnt know if it would work/get accurate readings.

You need to scan if for codes and attack the code that comes up. Did you put a remanufactured MAFF sensor in? They suck. They are basically used ones that have been cleaned. I have put them on before and the hotwire elements were missing.
