calling all photography experts please?

so, i have a photography assignment and basically all i need to do is to capture and emotion by using props and lighting. but the thing is, i have to be the model too. so its a little difficult to get the exact shot that i want.. if anyone has any good suggestions connecting props to emotion or how i cant better capture the image that i want with the camera timer.

if you want to do something sad, have a spotlight on you, all black background (can be edited late if not) and hold like a fake daisy or something, thats drooping towards the ground, and either pluck all of the petals or a few and have them on the ground near you, sit on a stool with your knees bent inward head facing the daisy, (your holding it) slouch a little, have it so it is almost a profile shot, back towards the light, black & white color effect would be the best
 
Have a full length mirror on the other side. What you see in the mirror is what the camera is going to capture. Experiment with various items and poses. Clothes, background, etc.

Have a friend stand in for you and then work with various settings. Once you are satisfied then you can stand in as the model.
