Call in due to snow storm....?

Right now I sit just mere hours before a snow storm is scheduled to hit. A Winter Storm Warning went into effect at noon and I just checked the weather and a Blizzard Warning was issued for the counties next to me, which means soon we too will be put under that same warning.

By the time all is said and done tomorrow afternoon we are forecasted to receive a foot to a foot and a half. The winds are going to continue gusting up to 50 MPH and some sleet is also expected in between.

The dilemma is I live 30 minutes away from my place of employment, I'm scheduled to work when it's still going to be heavily snowing and very windy. I personally would rather risk my job then my life to be quite honest.

My question is would it be morally, whatever, right to call in if things are going to be as bad as they say? I once had a boss a few years back degrade me because I chose to stay home instead of drive into work (the night before we had a huge snow storm and an ice storm before it), and I don't want the same thing happening - if I can't go I can't go and if I don't want to risk it, I won't.

I have worked hard for them and have always gone into work when scheduled, but tomorrow may be another story.
