homes..... what can I do? The only way I can afford to pay for energy in California is if I split my family into two homes. I found that if my family occupies the same sq ft. in 2 homes instead of 1 I will save hundreds of dollars on my electric bill. The debt I have take on to cover pge is slowly drowning me. If I don't move I will soon not be able to afford my home. Why is there not some way to receive a discount for the number of people in my home. I make just a tiny bit too much to qualify for FARE in California. Please help. I have cut back as much as I can. I spent over 15,000 last year to make my home more efficient. A large family can only do so much. We have all cfl's, don't run the air more than an hour a day. We have to buy paper plates an plastic cups so we don't run the dish washer that much. We hang dry our clothes whenever possible. Why is the State causing large families so much heartache. Someone please help all the large families in California.
