I make crafts which is my hobby. I would like to try to sell my crafts at craft fairs (approx. 1-3 fairs/year) and maybe online.
I live in Northern California, Mendocino County.
My questions are:
#1 Do I need a resale license?
#2 Do I need a DBA? If yes, why? (The DBA for a hobby business does not make sense)
#3 Do I need a business license, if I am only doing it on a less than part-time basis?
#4 Can I just have a resale license?
#5 The first craft fair I would like to do, requires a resale license, but not a business license?6
Please share any information you have, if you have a tax deductible hobby, hobby business or handmade craft business. What else should I know?
