(1) (a) Rationalize the denominator of the expression
3x/2?(x) -3

(b) Simplify the expression
(3x+4/x^2 -2) - (2/x+1)
x2-2 - 2
x+1

(2) All three parts of this question regard equations of a straight line.

(a)The line L1 having the general equation 2x-3y+4 = 0 passes through
the point (1, 2). Find a general equation of the line L2 through (1, 2)
which is perpendicular to L1.

(b) A printing press was purchased for $27000 in 2003. In 2010, the printing press is worth only $14400. How much was the press worth in 2007,
assuming linear depreciation of its worth?

(c) When will the printing press of Part (b) be worthless?
