not having a car? While sitting in traffic, an uninsured driver rear-ended me. Since I did not have a rental car on my policy and could not afford to rent a car for the 7 weeks my car was in the shop, I had a bf driving me to and from work every day. How can I calculate how much money I’m owed?
My work is 30 miles away from my house and my house is 10 miles away from my bf's house. So he drove a total of 160 m/day (80 miles twice a day). Also, I do have receipts to sow how much I spent on gas. On top of this, I would like to add the depreciation of my b-f car so that I can compensate him for his time and use of car.

Since I got hurt, I will include the doctor visit deductible, medication, and also include the mileage for visiting doctor twice.

One last question, once I have calculated all these items, should I sue or can I trust my insurance company to go after the driver?
I live in California
