A 2.0 x 10^3 kg car initially travelling due north at 30 m s-1 takes a 45 degrees bend in the road without changing speed, so that after the turn the car is travelling north-east.

Calculate the change in momentum of the car.

Calculate the amount of friction provided by the tyres and hence the amount needed to be provided by banking, if the amount of friction provided by the tyres is equal to 80% of the weight of the car.
