cadillac power window goes down 1/3 of the way then starts thumping?

I can go up and down but only from this point.......when I put it up and its all the way up it makes that same noise....the best i can do is it sounds like thumping

ok it works perfectly normal but stop at about 1/3 of the way down ...it will go back up from there as normal as can be,,,it more like it get stuck when reaching that spot.. i don believe it a regulator because it wouldnt do that.....??????
 
the window regulator is going bad on it if you can take your hand and guide it the rest of the way down its the regulator that's bad,it may get to the point though that it wont go back up or down,good luck.

Sounds like the window regulator had to do one on my 99 cady cost 197.00 for the part not hard to do took me about 45 min.
