cadillac headgaskets?

How much roughly would it cost if I took my 1999 Cadillac Seville to the dealer to get a new waterpump, headgaskets, and 4 cams. I took it to a friend to get the work done and hes charging around 3,500 and I was wondering if thats a lot?

Seems steep, but that is a lot of work on a Caddy. I would take it to at least three different people and get estimates. I have done this work on four cylinder engines and I have paid from 300.00 to 700.00 on parts and the rest of the labor I did myself which was three easy days of work (six pack of beer a day).
