I've had this same problem with my Catera for a year now, and I'm really not sure where to turn on it. I haven't driven during this time except for the occasional test drive to see if I have fixed the problem.
The car runs really rough, and when I get up to higher speed (40+) it will vibrate almost like I was going over a rumble strip. The car also shows it overheats fast when the air conditioner kicks in while I'm driving so I have to leave the air conditioner off. This all started happening at the exact same time so I suspect it's only one thing malfunctioning on the car. Likely a sensor. I have received the following codes from the car..
P0004 - Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit High
P0115 - Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit
P1100 - Mass Airflow Sensor Circuit Intermittent
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?
(note:I have replaced the Mass Airflow Sensor since having this issue)
