What is the real difference between the Nokia DKU-5 USB Data Cable and the CA-42 USB data cable? are they one in the same? any info on this would be appreciated. thanks.
P.S. my phone is a 6101

Yea, i have the same question. I've been seeing different cables for the same phone and I dont know what the difference is. The MA-8620E data cable is also one that's suppose to be for the 6101.

dont get a data cable, they are a pain to get connected.your phone has infrared and you can get an adapter off ebay or elsewhere cheap. do a search for irda adapter on ebay. i got mine for less than 10.00 and i connects everytime on the 1st try

I've never had trouble with cables.
But to answer your question, they both do the same job, just the CA-42, is like a universal cable, works with nearly all phones! (nokia with the right ports)

well here it is now April 06. I forgot about it for a while...cause it was no big deal, but my phone started running out of memory and i was bored of the same wallpapers. so...I finally got the right thing. I got an Irda adapter. didn't work. then i got the DKU 5 it ddin't work either. now finally got a cheap CA-42 from ebay and manually installed the driver, (not through the CD self install). Finally got it to work! Yipee and now i can finally take more pics and tranfer everything. perfect. just thought i would update after all this fuss.
