I use appforge to develop apps for palm and pocket pc. Currently I am creating an app that connects to a BlueTooth RFID stickreader and captures an id string of about 20 characters and then sends a trigger character out the cable serial port to trigger the scale weight and capture it back from the serial port. This works fine on ppc, but when i put it onto a T3, it appears you can only open one serial port at a time be that a bt or cable connection. This is SEVERLELY LIMITING! I looked at opening and closing each port as required but each time you open the bt port you have to select the device from the device manager which just takes too long when we are talking about capturing a tag every 15-30 seconds. Has anyone played with this type of thing on the t3 and can anyone advise me if the t5 is any better?
