Cable for C65

Hi, I have a C55 (which used to be an A55, upgraded thanks to you ) and a cable for it. Should I be able to use it with a C65? I have had a look around and it seems to be the same cable, but when I plug the 65 into it, nothing happens. It works fine with the 55. In fact I have noticed that in its *#06# menu the 65 does 'see' the cable. I got the cable off eBay, so all that I know about it is that it uses a Prolific 2303 chip.

I don't have any Problem to Unlock C65 C72 etc.E-Gold As well with C55 Cable ....

yes, you're right..
But if you want to use original Benq update software, you must use the modifyed cable with pin 2,5, and 7 to GND.
C55 simple cable is not working for Siemens-Benq Update software!
 
It is used to upgrade the sw firmware or change language pack, like Swup.

Well I also got Same Cable which uses 2303 Drivers.
I Ordered for DCA500 on Ebay.
they Send me Cable which was Labeled C55/S55
Not DCA etc.
Due to some Postal reasons i got Damaged Drivers CD ...
anyhow i managed to prepare the Drivers.
and I try to Convert Java Midlets on S-Gold with Such Cable.
tried on Many Phones but always No Luck.
So i thot cable is not Good Blah blah.
afterwards a kind friend of mine. ViperGSM gimme 2303 Patched Drivers for Siemens Cable.
i Uninstall old crap and Installed New Drivers and then I tried this cable with reading Flash from A62.
Oh Wow it was a Nice Experience I read A62 Flash in few Moments at 460800 Speed.
I think Now u guys (Chris02 and hacktek) Might Understand Which Cable i got.
DCA500 / DCA510 or maybe DCA540.
ok Now i need lil Guidness what if i solder its 2,5,6,7 pins Does that Put any Diffrence on its previous Performance.
and Which Models will be Added to its Connectivity?
Will u Enlight with lil Detail?

I don't know what cable do you got, but my cables don't need drivers ! They will work on COM 1 and COM2 without any drivers... and I have them from my USPV2 box wich came with more than 100 cables. I can use the cables with Vygis toolbox on virtual COM (USB ports) at High speed. I can flash C65 on about 5 minutes.
The only one good cable is the cable builded by yourself. (MAX232 cable). You can use the connector from the cable you got... and have to build your own RS232-MAX232 cable or buy an universal RS232 box... Is the best method for all phones and all softwares.
 
Oh Sorry i forgot to Mention that It is Pure USB Cable
I think Now u Will Change ur Opinion about Drivers.

I ALSO Got USPIV2 with 125 Cable. But i think USPIV2 cables Dont let u to gain More than 115200 Speed Which took hella time WHat do u think

I have Vygistoolbox original.
The computer see the VygisBox as COM4... I use the cable from USPIV2 with VygisBox, work at HiSpeed!
 
i got max232 chip comport cable for c55....
it wont work on xx65 series...specially i need for java midlet tranfered....but wont work...it says no phone found in x65 navigator.....
my cable has pinouts 2gnd 3 and 4 were rx and tx...
any modification needed ?
 
If you can read/write flash in A55, the cable is good.
It will work 100% with x65 navigator.
If you can not work with A55, means that your cable is not good, you must open it and see what is inside!
 
And what if i can Unlock read write with Data cable.
Can i use Swup with such cable without Modification?
