Here is my problem (simplified):
I has about a computer that is connected to switch which is connected to a router.
(comp > switch > router).. The router (with DHCP) give address to the computer. The main problem is, I can't get ip address on xp (neither can ping the router), but when I change to windows 7 (using laptop), the problem solved (got the address)...
What will the problem be?
I suspect it to be the cable's problem.
- maybe it was cross cable
- if it was, would windows 7 makes a different which XP can't?
- would the cable not to be either cross or straight?
p/s: sorry if my language is bad.
